Hey, beloved readers! Today, I want to share a testament to the incredible partnership that has transformed both my life and business—a partnership with none other than the Almighty Himself. GOD. TESTIFY!
Three weeks ago, I found myself in what I like to call my super batch mode—an intense period of productivity and creativity. Little did I know, this experience would soon become a captivating testimonial podcast! It was a must have share and special testimonial in and how He moves in my business and life.
On a particular blue sky and sunny weathered Monday morning, I was struggling to channel my usual hustle-grind-work-smarter mode. There was absolutely no reason to not feel energized. My peace with working had not come upon me yet. But just when I thought I couldn’t find that spark. But then, something extraordinary happened. I felt this overwhelming sense of divine grace wash over me, like a reassuring hug from above. GOD, my amazing provider, came through in ways that left me in awe. His timing is impeccable!
I have a habit of batching my work, and when the energy is right, I super batch! I get connected to a super batch mode of energy and total focus! #superbatch #batchalert A few weeks ago, I shared on my Facebook page about the Fatherly GOD winks I receive as signs. And now, my temporary workspace is adorned with rainbows #prisms, a tangible reminder of the promises fulfilled. (You will have to go listen to my podcast episode on Divine Partnership: A Journey of Faith, Rainbows, and Business Success | Episode 246.
Psalm 34:4 rings true—I sought the Lord, and He answered!
He continues to provide, showering me with love, grace, favor, direction, and wisdom. While I may not know the exact destination, I’m grateful for the glimpses of the path ahead. Three weeks to days ahead, I trust and follow as an obedient servant.
This unfolding journey has now become a podcast episode, number 246—proof of the divine glimpses materializing. It’s incredible how, when we pay attention, we can catch glimpses of the divine speaking to us, guiding us, and leaving a legacy at our very footsteps.
Life has this funny way of giving us hints about what’s to come, doesn’t it?
And maybe, just maybe, some of you reading this are going through similar moments—seeing hints of something good but not quite realizing that it’s like a message from above. God is guiding you, and all it takes is that one step forward.
Perhaps some of you are also catching glimpses but haven’t realized that the Creator is speaking to you, leading you, and paving the way for your legacy. Trust and take those steps forward.

Beginning any journey of building your online business, whether it’s a podcast, a blog, or any digital venture, is a thrilling adventure. However, the road is not always smooth. I will discuss the real and raw emotions that can emerge during the process and unveil strategies to conquer them.
1. The Thinking Phase: Overcoming Procrastination
The inception of any business begins with the crucial thinking phase. Think. Think. Think. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed or hesitant during this period. The key is to break down your thoughts into manageable steps. Starting taking those small steps forward.
Consider creating a mind map or a to-do list to organize your ideas. Celebrate the small wins to build momentum and overcome the procrastination monster that often lurks in the early stages.
For instance, let’s say you’re contemplating starting a podcast. Instead of being paralyzed by the enormity of the task, focus on researching your niche for 20 minutes. Small, consistent actions can turn your aspirations into achievable goals. Research does not sound to overwhelming does it?
2. The Startup Blues: Dealing with ‘Not Feeling It’
As you transition from the thinking phase to the startup phase, there will be days when you’re just not feeling it. That’s perfectly okay. Acknowledge that these feelings are a natural part of the process. Overcoming those business slumps is allowing gentle grace over your process. Rather than forcing yourself through the motions, find activities that reignite your passion. I call this the Peace Hour. I will share more on that next few weeks on Episode 247. You can follow the Podcast The Estela Kelley Show using the link.
Consider incorporating short breaks for activities like a brisk walk, creative writing, or engaging with inspirational content. If you’re running a blog, for example, taking a moment to read a fascinating article in your niche can rekindle your enthusiasm and creativity.
3. The Focus Challenge: Tackling Loss of Concentration
Loss of focus is a common challenge faced by entrepreneurs. To conquer this, establish a structured routine. Boost your business focus by breaking your work into focused intervals with short breaks in between. The Pomodoro Technique, a time management method, can be a game-changer here. The Pomodoro Technique is a way to manage your time. You work hard for 25 minutes and then take a short break for five minutes.
Additionally, prioritize tasks and set realistic goals to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Let’s say you’re managing an e-commerce site. Instead of viewing it as a this overwhelming task, break it down into smaller tasks—updating product descriptions, optimizing images, or responding to customer inquiries. Celebrate these achievements, regardless of how small, to maintain motivation and momentum. Everything counts toward growth and success!
4. Embracing the Process: The Journey Matters
It’s important to remember that building a business is a process, not an overnight success. This is your Entrepreneurial Growth Journey and it’s going to be different from anyone else’s journey. Embrace the journey and the valuable lessons that come with it. Celebrate and embrace both successes and failures—they are integral stepping stones to growth. Surround yourself with a supportive community or seek guidance from a mentor who understands the rollercoaster of entrepreneurship.
Consider sharing your journey on your podcast or blog. Transparency about your struggles and victories not only makes you relatable to your audience but also creates a sense of authenticity that can resonate with potential clients or customers.
5. Making Friends Online: Connect with People
On the internet, making friends is more than just meeting at events. Talk to your audience on social media, join online groups, and work together with other podcasters or bloggers. What you are doing is, you are making friends for business growth. Having a network not only helps you reach more people but also gives you a group of friends to share ideas and solve problems.
For example, if you have a podcast, invite friends from your network to share their stories. This not only gives your audience different viewpoints but also helps you get to know more people in your field.
6. Learning from Mistakes: Turning Problems into Solutions
Mistakes happen, but how you deal with them decides how successful you’ll be. Instead of seeing them as big problems, look at them as chances to get better. You are growing smarter and learning how to handle and navigate business problems. Share stories of tough times on your blog or podcast, and talk about what you learned and how things got better.
Write a blog post about a tough time you had and what steps you took to make it better. This not only shows that you’re a real person but also helps others going through similar things.
7. Keep Learning: Staying Smart in Your Field
Things change a lot, so keep learning to stay ahead. Keep up with what’s happening, take classes that help you, and join webinars or watch online meetings. Doing this not only makes you better at what you do but also keeps your work fresh and interesting.
Simultaneously, adopt an implementer mindset and follow thru. If you are needing assistance in some of these areas, I have myDream Biz Experience to assist any aspiring entrepreneur to foster courage & confidence, while maintaining clarity in their business vision.

Your unique skills, experiences, and passions are invaluable resources that can make a significant difference in people’s lives. Take, for instance, a talented chef (I will name her Sarah. If you do a good research you can find a vast amount of self-made entrepreneurs that have “made it”, been successful and are having a real impact in the world.) who had a burning desire to share her culinary expertise with the world. Despite her initial fears of starting an online cooking business, she pushed through and launched her own website featuring recipes, cooking tutorials, and a vibrant community. Sarah’s fear of not being good enough was overshadowed by her passion for cooking and her desire to help others create delicious meals. Today, her online business has grown dramatically, attracting a dedicated audience seeking culinary inspiration.
When you recognize that the world needs what you have to offer, fear becomes secondary. Your unique perspective, knowledge, and abilities can solve problems, inspire others, and create a positive impact on a global scale. By overcoming your fear, you unlock the potential to make a difference in people’s lives while pursuing your passion.
Reason #2: Personal Growth and Empowerment
Building an online business is not just about financial gain; it’s a transformative journey of personal growth and empowerment. Let’s look at the story of John, an aspiring writer who feared rejection and criticism. However, he decided to push past his fears and self-published his first book online. Through the process of writing, marketing, and connecting with readers, John discovered an inner strength and resilience he never knew existed. His online business not only provided financial stability but also allowed him to develop as an individual and gain confidence in his abilities. And sometimes these moments can be a catalyst to something even bigger.
The path of entrepreneurship demands continuous learning, adaptability, and stepping out of your comfort zone. By embracing these challenges and overcoming your fears, you open the door to self-discovery, skill enhancement, and personal empowerment. As you navigate the online business landscape, you’ll develop problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, and the confidence to tackle any obstacle that comes your way.
Reason #3: Freedom and Flexibility
One of the most enticing aspects of building an online business is the freedom it offers. Consider Emma, a young mother who dreamed of building a business while being present for her family. Fearful of missing out on her children’s milestones, she embarked on an online venture that allowed her to work from home and set her own schedule. With determination, Emma established a successful e-commerce store selling eco-friendly baby products. Her fear of being tied down to a traditional job transformed into the freedom to balance her entrepreneurial pursuits with her family life.
Building an online business grants you the flexibility to design a lifestyle that aligns with your values and priorities. No more long commutes, rigid office hours, or answering to a boss. Instead, you can create a work environment that suits your needs, allowing you to spend time with loved ones, pursue hobbies, and travel while still nurturing your business. Designing a life around your business is a key factor. Here’s a snippet on Breaking Barriers: Building Your Online Empire – Overcoming Fear to Launch Your Dream Online Business | Episode 233
Taking Action: Overcoming Fear and Getting Started
Now that we understand the importance of overcoming fear, let’s talk about some actionable steps you can take to conquer your fears and start building your dream online business.
Educate Yourself: Knowledge is key to overcoming fear. Take the time to educate yourself about online business models, marketing strategies, and the tools available to you. Attend webinars, online courses, and workshops that focus on your area of interest. By expanding your knowledge and understanding of the online business landscape, you’ll gain the confidence and skills necessary to navigate it successfully.
Surround Yourself with Support: Building an online business can feel overwhelming at times, but you don’t have to go it alone. Seek out like-minded individuals who share your aspirations. Join online communities, forums, and social media groups where you can connect with fellow entrepreneurs. Engage in conversations, ask questions, and share your experiences. Surrounding yourself with a supportive network will provide you with encouragement, guidance, and valuable insights from those who have already walked the path you’re embarking on.
Start Small, But Start Now: One of the biggest obstacles in overcoming fear is the fear of failure. Remember that everyone starts somewhere, and success is built through small steps. Break down your big vision into manageable tasks and set achievable goals. Take that first step, no matter how small it may seem. Launch your website, create your social media profiles, or start writing that e-book. Embrace the journey of learning and iterating as you go, knowing that each step forward is progress.
Case Study: Emily’s Journey from Fear to Online Success
Let’s take a look at Emily, who dreamed of starting an online clothing boutique but was held back by fear. She worried about the competition, the financial risks, and whether her designs would resonate with customers. However, Emily decided to push through her fears and took the first step by launching an e-commerce store. She immersed herself in learning about branding, social media marketing, and customer engagement. Emily’s determination and perseverance paid off as she built a loyal customer base who resonated with her unique designs and exceptional customer service. Today, Emily’s online boutique has become a thriving business, surpassing her initial expectations.
Emily’s story is a testament to the power of overcoming fear and taking action. She learned from her mistakes, adapted to challenges, and embraced the continuous learning curve of entrepreneurship. By facing her fears head-on, she transformed her dreams into a successful reality.
Overcoming fear is an essential step on the path to building a thriving online business. By recognizing that the world needs what you have to offer, embracing personal growth and empowerment, and harnessing the freedom and flexibility of the online realm, you can conquer your fears and unlock your true potential. Remember, success is not guaranteed, but the greatest growth and achievements lie just beyond the boundaries of fear. So, take that leap, trust in yourself, and let your entrepreneurial journey begin. The world is waiting for you!

In today’s fast-paced world, many of us feel pressure to share every aspect of our lives, from what we ate for breakfast to our biggest life struggles. Social media has made it easier than ever to connect with others, but it’s also created a culture of OVERSHARING. While authenticity and transparency are essential in building a connection with your audience, it’s equally important to set boundaries and keep some things private.
When it comes to building a successful business, maintaining privacy is essential. There are certain things you should keep confidential, such as financial information, personal relationships, and anything that could damage your business’s reputation. However, it’s not just about what you should keep private; it’s also about what you feel comfortable sharing.
You don’t have to share every detail of your personal life or every struggle you’ve faced. Instead, choose what you share carefully and only share what you’re comfortable with. This will help you maintain control over your life and your business. You’ll be able to focus on what’s most important and avoid unnecessary distractions.
By being selective about what you share, you can also build trust with your customers and clients. People are more likely to trust you when you’re transparent about what matters most to your business. However, this doesn’t mean you have to share everything. In fact, maintaining some privacy can be beneficial for your business.
When you set boundaries and decide what you want to share, you’re taking control of your life and your business. You’re making a conscious decision about what to share and what to keep private. This can help you focus on what’s essential and avoid unnecessary drama or negative attention.
If you’re struggling with maintaining privacy, here are some tips to help you get started:
Start small by setting some boundaries and only sharing what you’re comfortable with. You can gradually increase what you share as you feel more confident.
Remember that it’s okay to say no. If someone asks you a personal question that you don’t feel comfortable answering, you can simply say, “I prefer not to share that.”
Be mindful of what you share online. Once something is on the internet, it’s challenging to remove it completely.
While authenticity and transparency are essential in building a connection with your audience, it’s also important to maintain privacy when building a business. By setting boundaries and being selective about what you share, you can build trust with your audience and focus on what’s most important. Remember, you’re in control of your life and your business, and it’s up to you to decide what to share and what to keep private.
Sharing personal stories and struggles can be a powerful tool in building connections with others, especially in the context of business. It humanizes the brand and helps customers and clients relate to the people behind the company. However, sharing too much can have negative consequences. It comes down to this question of, is there a learning lesson behind this circumstance that can be shared with your audience? How can I help my audience from this learning experience? Is it applicable to your business and audience? If not, let it go and stop the oversharing process. Here’s podcast episode on: Why Keeping Some Things Private Is Essential for Building a Successful Business | Episode 232
It’s important to strike a balance between being authentic and transparent and keeping certain aspects of your life private. Understand what should be kept confidential. This includes financial information, personal relationships, and anything that could harm your business’s reputation. Stop the urge to share unnecessary situations by sitting with the thought of oversharing for a few minutes before acting hasty. Don’t allow yourself and your business to be on display by acting hasty and have regrets or need to post an apology post after. You don’t have time for games! You are a business owner who needs to act responsibly and take care of your customers.
It’s also essential to understand the risks of oversharing. Once something is on the internet, it can be challenging to remove it entirely. This means that every piece of information you share online can have consequences, whether it’s now or years down the line. Additionally, oversharing can also be a distraction from what’s essential in your business, and it can even cause unnecessary drama or negative attention.
Therefore, it’s crucial to be mindful of what you share online and to be selective about what you reveal. You should only share what you’re comfortable with and what you think is relevant to your audience. It’s also essential to set boundaries and stick to them.
Setting boundaries can be challenging, especially if you’re used to sharing everything with your audience. But it’s essential to remember that it’s okay to say NO. Again, if someone asks you a personal question that you don’t feel comfortable answering, you can simply say, “I prefer not to share that.” And walk away. Be the bigger person.
Starting small is also a great way to get comfortable with maintaining privacy. You can begin by setting some boundaries and only sharing what you’re comfortable with. As you become more confident, you can gradually increase what you share.
It’s also important to remember that maintaining some privacy can be beneficial for your business. When you set boundaries and decide what you want to share, you’re taking control of your life and your business. You’re making a conscious decision about what to share and what to keep private. This can help you focus on what’s essential in your business and what’s important in your private life.
Sharing personal stories and struggles can be powerful in building connections with others, it’s important to maintain a level of privacy when building a business. By being mindful of what you share online, setting boundaries, and only sharing what you’re comfortable with, you can build trust with your audience and focus on what’s most important. Remember, you’re in control of your life and your business, and it’s up to you to decide what to share and what to keep private.

Sharing your journey is an important part of personal growth and development. It allows us to reflect on our experiences, celebrate our successes, and learn from our mistakes. But more importantly, it provides an opportunity to inspire and motivate others to pursue their own goals and dreams.
Sharing your journey means being open and honest about the steps you have taken to get where you are today. This includes sharing both the ups and downs of your journey, as well as the lessons you have learned along the way. By being transparent about your experiences, you can help others see that success is not a straight line, but a journey with many twists and turns.
One of the most important aspects of sharing your journey is authenticity. It’s essential to be honest about the challenges you faced and the mistakes you made. By being vulnerable (here’s a good read on being vulnerable), you can connect with your audience on a deeper level and help them relate to your story. People appreciate honesty and authenticity, and they are more likely to be inspired by someone who is willing to share their true experiences.
Authenticity also means being true to yourself and your values. It’s important to share your journey in a way that aligns with who you are and what you stand for. You get to select what you share and to what degree. This allows your audience to see you as a real person, rather than just a success story. On the social media platforms, some people discover only the success story. They seek WHY someone started their journey and what they “won” at the end. In between, there are deeper layers of small and big wins and steps of happiness and pivotable and teachable moments. By sharing your journey with all it’s twist and turns, one can then notice it takes a tenacious spirit to reach the mountain top. It also helps to build trust and credibility with your audience, as they know you are being genuine and sincere. And I mean sincere in the way of you looking out for them.
Another important aspect of sharing your journey is focusing on the lessons learned. What did you learn from your failures? How did they help shape your path forward? By sharing these insights, you can help others avoid similar pitfalls and make better choices on their own journeys. Building Your Business: The Power of Sharing Your Journey| Episode 231
One example of a journey filled with ups and downs is that of the famous author J.K. Rowling. Before she became one of the best-selling authors of all time with the Harry Potter series, Rowling went through a series of setbacks and rejections.
After graduating from university, Rowling struggled to find work and ended up living on welfare. During this time, she began writing the first Harry Potter book in cafes while her daughter slept. But the road to success wasn’t easy for Rowling – she faced multiple rejections from publishers before finally getting a book deal.
Rowling’s journey is a powerful example of how success is not a straight line. She faced numerous setbacks and obstacles, but she persevered and eventually achieved her goals. By sharing her journey, Rowling has inspired countless people around the world to pursue their own dreams, no matter how difficult the path may seem.
Another example of a journey filled with ups and downs is that of Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps. Phelps is widely regarded as one of the greatest swimmers of all time, with 28 Olympic medals to his name. But his journey to success was far from easy.
Phelps struggled with ADHD as a child, and was often bullied at school. But he found solace in swimming, and began training at a young age. Despite his talent, Phelps faced numerous setbacks and challenges throughout his career. He was arrested for DUI in 2014 and subsequently entered rehab. But he bounced back, and went on to win more Olympic medals in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Phelps’ journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and resilience. He faced numerous setbacks, but he never gave up. By sharing his journey, Phelps has inspired countless people around the world to pursue their own goals, no matter how difficult the path may seem.
By being authentic and focusing on the lessons learned, you can inspire and motivate others to pursue their own goals and dreams. Remember that success is not a straight line – it’s a JOURNEY with many twists and turns. By sharing your journey, you can help others see that anything is POSSIBLE. Anything is possible!
Sharing your journey can also have a profound impact on those around you. When you share your experiences, you can inspire and motivate others to pursue their own goals and dreams. By being honest about the ups and downs of your journey, you can help others see that success is not a straight line, but a journey with many twists and turns.
One of the most powerful benefits of sharing your journey is that it allows you to connect with your audience on a deeper level. When you share your struggles and failures, you become relatable and human. People are more likely to be inspired by someone who has overcome obstacles and achieved success through hard work and determination.
However, it’s important to remember that sharing your journey is not just about the destination. It’s also about the journey itself – the challenges you faced, the mistakes you made, and the lessons you learned along the way. By sharing your experiences, you can help others avoid similar pitfalls and make better choices on their own journeys.
One example of a journey filled with ups and downs is that of the famous entrepreneur, Richard Branson. Branson started his first business at the age of 16 and went on to build the Virgin Group, a conglomerate of more than 400 companies. But his path to success was not without obstacles.
Branson faced numerous setbacks and failures throughout his career. He experienced multiple business failures, including the failure of Virgin Cola and Virgin Brides. But he never gave up, and continued to push forward in pursuit of his goals.
By sharing his journey, Branson has inspired countless people around the world to pursue their own dreams, no matter how difficult the path may seem. He has shown that failure is not the end, but rather an opportunity to learn and grow.
Another example of a journey filled with ups and downs is that of Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey is one of the most successful media personalities of all time, but her path to success was far from easy.
Winfrey faced numerous challenges throughout her life, including poverty, abuse, and discrimination. But she refused to let her circumstances define her. Instead, she worked hard to overcome her challenges and went on to become a media mogul.
By sharing her journey, Winfrey has inspired countless people around the world to pursue their own dreams, no matter what obstacles they may face. She has shown that success is possible, even in the face of adversity.

Remember that your journey is not just about the destination – it’s also about the challenges you faced, the mistakes you made, and the lessons you learned along the way. By sharing your journey, you can help others avoid similar pitfalls and make better choices on their own paths to success.

Building an online business is an exciting and challenging endeavor. In the digital landscape, where competition is fierce and the pressure to present a super polished image is high, it may seem counterintuitive to embrace vulnerability. Never fear, some things have changed on being a super polished brand as in speak or being on video. People relate to real people. However, being vulnerable while building an online business can be a powerful strategy. It involves sharing your struggles, failures, and challenges openly, and showcasing how you have overcome them. This vulnerability creates a genuine connection with your audience as they can relate to your journey and experiences. In this blog post, I will discuss the importance of vulnerability in building an online business, providing practical tips, additional examples, and an expanded understanding of how vulnerability can benefit your online entrepreneurial journey.
The Power of Vulnerability in Building an Online Business:
Fostering Relatability: When you openly discuss your struggles and challenges, you create a relatable narrative. Your audience can see themselves in your journey, and this connection fosters a sense of community. By sharing the ups and downs, you humanize your brand and make it more relatable. People are drawn to those who have faced obstacles and come out stronger on the other side.
Inspiring and Motivating Others: Sharing your journey can inspire and motivate others who are going through similar challenges. By being vulnerable and transparent about your failures and how you overcame them, you become a source of inspiration. Your audience sees that success is possible despite setbacks, and this can attract a loyal and engaged following. By sharing your experiences, you offer a guiding light to others on a similar path.
Tips for Embracing Vulnerability in Building an Online Business:
Start with Your Story: Begin by sharing your personal story and how it led you to start your online business. Highlight the challenges you faced, the doubts you encountered, and the lessons you learned along the way. By sharing your unique journey, you create an emotional connection with your audience, allowing them to see the genuine and real person behind the brand.
Be Transparent about Setbacks: Don’t shy away from discussing failures or obstacles you encountered. Explain how you navigated those challenges and the strategies you implemented to overcome them. This transparency shows that setbacks are a natural part of the entrepreneurial journey. By openly discussing your failures, you demonstrate resilience and provide valuable insights to others facing similar hurdles. And this provides tremendous encouragement for the one who sees it would work and simultaneously wants to quit. Setbacks really do happen. And it’s okay and it’s okay to move from them and improve.
Offer Solutions and Lessons Learned: Alongside discussing your challenges, provide actionable tips, strategies, or resources that can benefit your audience. Share the lessons you learned and how they can be applied in their own entrepreneurial endeavors. By offering solutions, you position yourself as a helpful resource and establish expertise in your field. This helps build trust and credibility with your audience.
Encourage Dialogue and Feedback: Create an environment where your audience feels comfortable sharing their own experiences and challenges. Encourage them to comment, ask questions, or provide feedback. This two-way communication fosters a sense of community and allows you to better understand and serve your audience. By actively engaging with your audience, you reinforce the connection built through vulnerability.

Some people may have a clear understanding of their why, while others may need to do some soul searching to find it. Your why can be related to your personal life, your career, or your passions. Or as you are thinking of creating an online business. Hey, Mompreneur, I got you. I truly understand where you are coming from. It’s what gives you a sense of fulfillment and meaning in life. Why is Starting with Your Why Important?
Starting with your why is important because it helps you stay focused on your goals and motivated to achieve them. When you have a clear understanding of your why, you’re more likely to make decisions that align with it. This can help you avoid distractions and stay on track to achieving your goals.
Identifying your why can also help you find meaning and purpose in your life. It gives you a sense of direction and helps you create a vision for your future. When you know your why, you’re more likely to live a life that’s aligned with your values and beliefs.
How to Find Your Why
Finding your why can be a challenging task, but it’s worth the effort. Here are some tips on how to find your why:
Reflect on your past experiences – Think about the times in your life when you felt most fulfilled and passionate. What were you doing? What values did you embody during those times? This can help you identify your why.
Identify your values – Your values are the principles and beliefs that guide your life. Think about what’s important to you and what you stand for. This can help you uncover your why.
Ask yourself why – Keep asking yourself why until you get to the root of your motivations. For example, if your why is to help others, ask yourself why that’s important to you. This can help you understand your underlying motivations and values.
Find inspiration – Look for inspiration in the world around you. Read books, watch movies, and listen to podcasts that align with your values and passions. This can help you gain clarity on your why.

Sharing your why with others can be a powerful way to connect with them and build relationships. When you share your why, you give others insight into what drives you and what you stand for. This can help you build trust and credibility with your audience.
In the professional world, sharing your why can be particularly important. When you work with others who share similar values and beliefs, you’re more likely to be successful. This is because you’re working towards a common goal and are aligned in your motivations.
Here are some tips on how to share your why:
Be authentic – When sharing your why, be authentic and true to yourself. This will help you build trust with your audience.
Use storytelling – Storytelling is a powerful way to connect with others and share your why. Share stories that illustrate your values and motivations.
Connect with your audience – When sharing your why, try to connect with your audience on an emotional level. This will help them understand your motivations and build a deeper connection with you.
Be clear and concise – When sharing your why, be clear and concise. Avoid using jargon or technical language that your audience may not understand.
Use visuals – Visuals can be a powerful way to communicate your why. Consider creating a vision board or using images that represent your values and motivations.
Practice active listening – When sharing your why, it’s important to listen to your audience as well. This can help you build deeper relationships and understand their values and motivations.

You’re also more likely to make decisions that align with your values and beliefs, which can lead to a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Here are some tips on how to unlock your full potential:
Set clear goals – When you have clear goals, you’re more likely to stay focused and motivated. Make sure your goals align with your why and reflect your values and beliefs.
Embrace failure – Failure is a natural part of the learning process. Embrace failure as an opportunity to learn and grow, rather than a setback.
Surround yourself with like-minded individuals – Surrounding yourself with people who share similar values and beliefs can help you stay motivated and focused on your goals.
Take action – Don’t wait for opportunities to come to you. Take action and create opportunities for yourself.
Keep learning – Learning is a lifelong process. Stay curious and continue to learn new skills and knowledge that align with your why.
In addition to unlocking your full potential, starting with your why can also help you make better decisions. When you have a clear understanding of your values and beliefs, you’re more likely to make decisions that align with them. This can help you avoid making decisions that don’t feel right or don’t reflect who you are.
Here are some tips on how to make better decisions:
Identify your values – Your values are the principles and beliefs that guide your decisions and actions. Take the time to identify your values and make sure your decisions align with them.
Consider the long-term impact – When making a decision, consider the long-term impact on your life and the lives of those around you. Will this decision help you achieve your goals and align with your values in the long run?
Seek advice from trusted sources – Don’t be afraid to seek advice from people you trust. They may have insights or perspectives that can help you make a better decision.
Trust your instincts – Your gut feeling can be a powerful tool when making decisions. Trust your instincts and listen to your inner voice.
Starting with your why can also help you build a strong personal brand. When you’re clear about what drives you and what you stand for, you’re more likely to attract like-minded people and build a community around your brand.
Here are some tips on how to build a strong personal brand:
Define your brand identity – Your brand identity is the visual and emotional representation of your brand. Define your brand identity by creating a logo, choosing colors, and developing a brand voice.
Communicate your why – Communicate your why through your brand messaging and marketing efforts. This can help you connect with your audience on a deeper level.
Be authentic – Authenticity is key when building a personal brand. Be true to who you are and stay consistent with your messaging.
Engage with your audience – Engage with your audience on social media, through email, or in person. This can help you build a loyal following and strengthen your brand.
Starting with your why is an important first step in achieving your goals and living a fulfilling life. By identifying your values, sharing your why with others, unlocking your full potential, making better decisions, and building a strong personal brand, you can create a life or business that reflects who you truly are.
Content creation can be overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure where to start in your online business. Business is more than having a business plan, a fancy website, or business cards. That’s why it’s essential to have a clear intention behind your content. By defining your goals and objectives, you can create content that resonates with your audience and helps you achieve your business objectives. Now that’s Speaks with a capital S.
Let’s take a closer look at how you can create content with intention:
Define Your Goals: Start by defining your goals and objectives. What do you want your content to achieve? Are you trying to generate leads, build brand awareness, or drive sales? For example, if you’re trying to generate leads, you might create a lead magnet like an e-book or whitepaper that addresses a common pain point or challenge your audience is facing.
Know Your Audience: To create content that resonates with your audience, you need to understand who they are, what they like, and what they’re interested in. Conduct research, analyze data, and create buyer personas to better understand your audience. For example, if your target audience is millennial moms, you might create content that addresses common parenting challenges or offers tips for managing work-life balance.
Choose the Right Format: Different types of content are better suited for different goals and audiences. For example, if you’re trying to educate your audience, blog posts, e-books, and webinars may be more appropriate than social media posts or infographics. If you’re trying to engage your audience, video content like webinars, live streams, or YouTube videos may be more effective.
Use Relevant Keywords: Research and use relevant keywords to optimize your content for search engines. This can help your content rank higher in search engine results and attract more organic traffic. For example, if you’re creating content about social media marketing, you might use keywords like “social media tips,” “social media strategy,” or “social media trends.”
Measure Your Results: Keep track of your content’s performance and measure its impact on your goals. Use analytics tools to monitor metrics like traffic, engagement, and conversions. For example, you might use Google Analytics to track website traffic or a social media analytics tool to track engagement metrics like likes, shares, and comments.
Tell a Story: People connect with stories. By incorporating stories into your content, you can make it more relatable and engaging. Use stories to illustrate your points, provide examples, or showcase customer success stories. For example, if you’re writing a blog post about the benefits of using a particular product or service, you might include a customer success story to show how the product/service helped them solve a problem or achieve their goals.
Offer Value: Your content should provide value to your audience. This can be in the form of useful information, expert insights, or entertainment. Make sure your content is actionable and informative, and not just a sales pitch. For example, if you’re creating a webinar about social media marketing, make sure to include practical tips and strategies that attendees can apply to their own businesses.
Be Authentic: Authenticity is key to building trust with your audience. Be true to your brand’s values and personality, and don’t try to be something you’re not. Your content should reflect your brand’s unique voice and perspective. For example, if your brand is known for its humor, incorporate that into your content.
Create Consistently: Consistency is key to building a loyal following. Create a content calendar and stick to it. This helps ensure that your audience knows when to expect new content from you. Consistent content also helps establish your brand as a reliable source of information or entertainment. For example, if you’re a fitness blogger, you might create a schedule of blog posts, YouTube videos, and social media updates that align with your audience’s fitness goals.
Repurpose Your Content: Don’t let your content go to waste. Repurpose it in different formats or on different platforms. For example, you might turn a blog post into a video or create a social media graphic based on a popular blog post. This helps you reach new audiences and get more mileage out of your existing content.
Collaborate with Others: Collaboration is a great way to expand your reach and create new content ideas. Reach out to other influencers, thought leaders, or brands in your industry and explore ways to collaborate on content. For example, you might co-host a webinar, create a joint blog post, or participate in a Twitter chat.
Stay Up-to-Date: The world of content creation is constantly evolving. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices. Attend conferences, participate in online communities, and read industry blogs to stay informed. This helps ensure that your content stays relevant and resonates with your audience. For example, you might attend a social media marketing conference to learn about the latest trends and strategies.
Incorporate User-Generated Content: User-generated content is a great way to engage your audience and showcase their experiences with your brand. Encourage customers to share photos, videos, or testimonials and incorporate them into your content. This helps establish social proof and build trust with your audience. For example, you might create a social media campaign asking customers to share photos of themselves using your product/service.
Be Mindful of SEO: Search engine optimization (SEO) is an important part of content creation. Use relevant keywords in your content to help it rank higher in search engine results. However, don’t sacrifice quality for SEO. Your content should be informative and engaging first and foremost. Don’t try to stuff keywords just to stuff them in.”The Googles”, spiders, algorithms can pick up a sneaky tactic and it may even cost you as in losing your ranking position or limit exposure. You can’t out smart, something we truly have no experience in. I know I don’t speak the computer language so I won’t force it. For example, if you’re creating a blog post about the best restaurants in a particular city, make sure to include relevant keywords like “best restaurants” and “city name” without sacrificing the quality of the content. It’s like casual talk, not a make it happen or forced conversation.
Engage with Your Audience: Engage with your audience through comments, social media, or email. Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner, and ask for feedback or suggestions for future content. This helps build a relationship with your audience and shows that you value their input. For example, you might respond to a comment on your blog post with a thoughtful response, or ask your social media followers for their thoughts on a new product idea.
Measure Your Results: Keep track of your content’s performance and use that data to inform future content creation. Use analytics tools to track metrics like pageviews, engagement rates, and conversion rates. This helps you understand what content resonates with your audience and what might need improvement. For example, if you notice that a particular type of content performs well, you might consider creating more content in that format.
Stay True to Your Brand: Lastly, always stay true to your brand’s identity and values. Your content should align with your brand’s mission and message. This helps establish a consistent brand identity and builds trust with your audience. For example, if your brand is all about sustainability, make sure that your content reflects that by highlighting eco-friendly products or sharing tips for reducing waste.
Creating content with intention is a critical part of any successful content strategy. By defining your goals and objectives, understanding your audience, choosing the right format, using relevant keywords, and measuring your results, you can create content that resonates with your audience and helps you achieve your business objectives. By consistently creating content with intention, you can build a loyal following and establish your brand as a thought leader in your industry.
Last week, I delved into the topic of the fear of failure in business, and this week I will be focusing on the specific patterns that can fuel this fear and how to identify them.
The fear of failure is something that many of us experience at some point in our lives. It can hold us back from pursuing our dreams and achieving our goals. However, the fear of failure is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it can be a powerful motivator that helps us push past our limits and achieve great things.
The problem arises when our fear of failure becomes so overwhelming that it paralyzes us and prevents us from taking action. This is often caused by certain patterns of thinking and behavior that can fuel the fear of failure and make it more difficult to overcome.
One of the most common patterns that fuels the fear of failure is perfectionism. Perfectionists have extremely high standards for themselves and are often overly critical of their own performance. They believe that any mistake or failure is a reflection of their worth as a person, which can be incredibly damaging to their self-esteem. This can cause them to avoid taking risks or trying new things because they are afraid of not meeting their own high expectations.
If you are a perfectionist, it is important to recognize that perfectionism is not a healthy or sustainable way to live. Instead, try setting more realistic goals for yourself and learning to embrace your mistakes as opportunities for growth. Remember that no one is perfect, and that making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process.
Another pattern that fuels the fear of failure is negative self-talk. When we constantly tell ourselves that we are not good enough or that we will never succeed, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Negative self-talk can be difficult to recognize because it often feels like it is coming from our own thoughts. However, it is important to learn to identify and challenge these negative beliefs in order to overcome the fear of failure.
If you find yourself engaging in negative self-talk, try practicing self-compassion and learning to reframe your thoughts in a more positive light. For example, instead of saying “I will never be able to do this,” try saying “This is a difficult challenge, but I am capable of learning and growing from it.”
The third pattern that fuels the fear of failure is a fixed mindset. People with a fixed mindset believe that their abilities and intelligence are fixed traits that cannot be changed. This can lead them to avoid challenges because they are afraid of exposing their limitations. However, research has shown that people with a growth mindset, who believe that their abilities can be developed through hard work and dedication, are more likely to overcome the fear of failure and achieve their goals.
If you have a fixed mindset, it is important to recognize that your abilities and intelligence are not fixed traits, but rather can be developed through effort and persistence. Embrace challenges and view them as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than as threats to your self-esteem.
Another pattern that can fuel the fear of failure is social comparison. When we constantly compare ourselves to others, it can make us feel like we are not measuring up or that we are not as successful as those around us. This can cause us to avoid taking risks or pursuing our goals because we are afraid of being judged or criticized by others.
If you find yourself engaging in social comparison, try focusing on your own progress and growth, rather than comparing yourself to others. Remember that everyone has their own unique path and journey, and that success looks different for everyone.
So, how can we break free from these patterns and overcome the fear of failure? The first step is to recognize that these patterns exist and that they are not serving us. Once we are aware of these patterns, we can begin to challenge them and replace them with more positive and empowering beliefs.
For example, if we struggle with perfectionism, we can start by setting more realistic goals for ourselves and learning to embrace our mistakes as opportunities for growth. If we struggle with being perfect this is extremely hard to let lose of. Instead reassure one’s self that mistakes happen to everyone and it is time to move forward and try it out. Mistakes or no mistakes, it is better to side on the side of trying than sitting on the sidelines feeling defeated. You are not defeated. You are a conqueror!
Another pattern that can fuel the fear of failure is procrastination. When we put off taking action towards our goals, it can be a form of self-sabotage that prevents us from achieving success. Procrastination can be caused by a variety of factors, such as fear of failure, lack of motivation, or a feeling of overwhelm.
If you find yourself procrastinating, try breaking down your goals into smaller, more manageable tasks. This can make them feel less overwhelming and help you build momentum towards achieving your goals. Additionally, try to identify any underlying fears or beliefs that may be fueling your procrastination and work on challenging them.
Another way to overcome the fear of failure is to cultivate a growth mindset. People with a growth mindset believe that their abilities and intelligence can be developed through hard work and dedication. This can help them approach challenges with a sense of optimism and a willingness to learn and grow.
To cultivate a growth mindset, try reframing your thoughts and beliefs about failure. Instead of seeing failure as a reflection of your worth as a person, see it as an opportunity to learn and grow. Celebrate your progress and accomplishments, even if they are small, and use them as motivation to keep pushing forward.
It can also be helpful to surround yourself with positive and supportive people who will encourage and uplift you on your journey. Seek out mentors, coaches, or friends who will help you stay accountable and push you to be your best self. Find good people that fill your heart and mind.
Lastly, it is important to take action towards your goals, even if it is scary or uncomfortable. The more you take action, the more confidence you will build in your ability to succeed. Remember that progress is not always linear, and that setbacks and failures are a natural part of the journey towards success.
The fear of failure is a common experience that can hold us back from achieving our goals and living our best lives. However, by recognizing and challenging the patterns of thinking and behavior that fuel this fear, we can overcome it and achieve great things. By setting realistic goals, practicing self-compassion, cultivating a growth mindset, surrounding ourselves with positive and supportive people, and taking action towards our goals, we can overcome the fear of failure and achieve success beyond our wildest dreams.
