Letโ€™s begin with a mindset reframe. โ€œLateโ€ is a lie the world tells women to rush us into burnout. But in truth, Godโ€™s timing is always right on time.

Your steps, no matter how slow, are being ordered with purpose. Instead of asking, โ€œWhy didnโ€™t I start sooner?โ€ ask, โ€œWhat is this season preparing me for?โ€

That reframes your business dream from a panic project to a purpose path. And this allows you to build it with gusto.


Choose One Brave Step

When weโ€™re overwhelmed, we tend to freeze. Thatโ€™s why I want you to focus on just one brave step this weekโ€”not the whole plan, not the full funnel, just one move that builds forward momentum.

Here are examples:

  • Start your โ€œAbout Meโ€ section for your website. (Even if itโ€™s messy.)
  • Record your podcast trailer even if your mic isnโ€™t perfect.
  • Post one thing about your business dream on social media.
  • Tell one good friend what you’re creating.
  • Write one paragraph of your email welcome series.

Do it afraid. Do it without waiting for clarity. Clarity comes from action, not overthinking.


Celebrate Micro-Wins Like Milestones

If you post something and it gets one like and 10 views, celebrate that. I prefer 50 views over 1 like, no question. Remember, youโ€™re building muscle, not magic.

Momentum builds not from big events, but from small, repeated choices that honor your future. And just like compound interest, those little steps become something powerful over time.

This is where most women over 40 give upโ€”not because they lack potential, but because they underestimate progress in small form thinking they are limited in time due to their age.


Anchor Your Actions in Faith

This journey will test you. Youโ€™ll hear doubts, face delays, and maybe even get distracted by shiny strategies. But when your steps are anchored in faith and soul alignment, they hit different.

Pray over your next step. Ask God for guidance and clarity. Trust that you werenโ€™t called to this dream to watch it die in discouragement.

Scripture says in Zechariah 4:10:

โ€œDo not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.โ€

Heโ€™s not waiting for perfection. Heโ€™s rejoicing when you start.

As the online world keeps shifting (hello algorithm updates, platform rules, and disappearing reach!), you need a place thatโ€™s fully yours. This is your online real estate. I absolutely love this digital real estate for various reasons.

That means:

  • Your website
  • Your blog
  • Your email list
  • Your podcast

You donโ€™t need to build everything this weekโ€”but knowing this direction helps you filter distractions. It gives your brave step a place to land.

Start small, maybe with an email opt-in or a landing page, but start. Youโ€™re building something that wonโ€™t vanish when platforms shift. This is part of your legacy.

This moment is all about โ€” making sure your actions match your vision and focus on one of the most crucial parts of very doable equation: your visibility.

Whenโ€™s the last time you looked at your bio, website headline, or Instagram or Facebook profile?

Look for women who complement your message, not compete with it. I have a friend who does coaching as well but her faith niche is a complement to my straightforward business coaching.

Remember to rename your blog post images with descriptive titles, update meta descriptions on your website, use keywords your ideal audience searches (like โ€œwomen over 40 starting an online businessโ€). And on social? Use fresh hashtags, clean up your highlights, featured and collections and pin your best-performing post. Small adjustments, big impact. These small tweaks can strengthen online visibility effectively.

In this post, we will go over the most important numbers to track in your business, how to find them, and how to use them to grow.


Why Tracking Numbers Matters

Tracking your business numbers helps you make better decisions โ€“ instead of guessing, you know what works. Understanding your customers helps you learn what people like and donโ€™t like. Improve marketing so you can adjust your messages to attract more people. Increase sales when you see what works, you can do more of it.

Now, letโ€™s look at the most important numbers for your website, emails, and social media.


Website Numbers: How People Use Your Site

Your website is like your online store. Knowing how people use it helps you make it better. Here are the key numbers to track:

1. Visitors (Traffic)

This tells you how many people come to your website. It also shows where they come from (Google, social media, emails, etc.). If you donโ€™t have many visitors, you may need to improve your marketing, use better keywords, or post more “engaging” content.

2. Bounce Rate

This tells you how many people leave your site after visiting only one page and this happens as well for email subscribers (read below). A high bounce rate means your page is slow, your content is not interesting and people donโ€™t know what to do next. To fix this, make your page faster (look at your load speed as well), add clear buttons (like “Buy Now” or “Learn More”), and make your content easy to read.

3. Conversion Rate

A conversion happens when someone takes actionโ€”like buying a product, signing up for emails, or booking a call. If people visit your site but donโ€™t take action, try making buttons clear and easy to find, write better product descriptions and offer discounts or free downloads.

4. Time on Site

This shows how long people stay on your website. The longer they stay, the more likely they are to buy. To keep visitors longer, add helpful content, videos, and links to other pages.


Email Numbers: Who Opens, Clicks, and Unsubscribes

Email is a great way to connect with customers, but you need to track how well your emails are working.

5. Open Rate

This tells you how many people open your emails. If your open rate is low, try writing better subject lines. Feel free to spice it up a bit. Send emails at different times and track the open rate then. Make sure your emails donโ€™t go to spam. Keep tracking.

6. Unsubscribe Rate

This shows how many people stop receiving your emails. If too many people unsubscribe, you may be sending too many emails or the content isnโ€™t what they want. To keep subscribers happy send helpful and interesting content, donโ€™t send emails too often, ask people what they want to read.


Social Media Numbers: Who Engages and Clicks

Social media helps you reach more people, but not all posts work the same way. Tracking the right numbers helps you see what your audience likes.

7. Engagement (Likes, Comments, Shares)

This shows how many people interact with your posts. If engagement is low post more interesting content, ask questions or create polls and reply to comments and messages.

8. Follower Growth

Are more people following your page? If not, try posting more often, use hashtags and share stories and reels.

9. Link Clicks

If you post links to your website but no one clicks, your post might not be clear. To fix this make your call-to-action stronger by using short, catchy captions and try different types of content (videos, images, text).

Once you start tracking your numbers, use the data to make small changes. If website traffic is low, improve SEO and share your site more. If email open rates are low, test different subject lines. If social media engagement is low, try new types of posts. Feel free to experiment.

I’ll show you right here how to create them. First, document your repetitive tasks by writing down steps for common tasks like onboarding a client, sending invoices, or creating content. Then use project management tools such as Trello, Asana, or ClickUp to help you organize and track progress so you stay on top of things. Lastly, batch your work so set specific days for certain tasks (e.g., Mondays for content creation, Fridays for finances) to stay focused and avoid multitasking overload.

A strong workflow not only saves time but also makes it easier to delegate when the time comes! And reduces so much overwhelm and overthinking and less procrastination.


Delegate and Dominate: The Art of Letting Go

As an online businesswoman, itโ€™s tempting to do everything yourself. But letโ€™s be realโ€”you donโ€™t have to! Delegation is a game-changer when it comes to scaling your business without burning out. This is how you take care of this by identifying whatโ€™s draining your energy โ€“ What tasks do you dread? Whether itโ€™s bookkeeping, social media, or graphic design, these are great places to start outsourcing. Next start small by hiring a virtual assistant (VA), a part-time worker, intern, one of your kids for just a few hours a week to handle admin work, emails, or customer support. And use platforms like Fiverr & Upwork if you need quick help for a one-time project, these platforms connect you with freelancers ready to tackle the job. There are lots of great workers out there!

Delegating isnโ€™t a sign of weaknessโ€”itโ€™s a sign of a smart CEO mindset. Youโ€™re creating space to focus on what you do best!

Starting and growing a business is not for the faint of heart. It requires resilience, patience, and, most importantly, persistence. Many entrepreneurs start with a fire in their hearts, only to find themselves burned out or discouraged when things donโ€™t take off as quickly as they had hoped. However, those who push through challenges often find success on the other side.

The Reality of Business Growth

Building a business takes time. While social media may highlight overnight success stories, the truth is that most entrepreneurs spend years refining their ideas, building an audience, and figuring out what works. Growth is gradual, and failures are stepping stones that refine your strategy. Each setback teaches you something valuable, allowing you to pivot and adjust. Success is rarely immediate, but consistency in engagement, marketing, and improvement creates momentum over time.

Why Persistence Matters

Many entrepreneurs quit too soon, often when they are on the brink of a breakthrough. Staying committed helps you build credibility. The longer you stay in business, the more trust you establish with your audience. It also allows you to refine your strategy continuously, understanding what resonates with your customers and adjusting accordingly. More importantly, persistence helps you outlast the competition. Embracing adaptability is another crucial aspect of persistence. Sometimes, sticking with your dream means adjusting your approach rather than holding onto a strategy that isnโ€™t working. Be open to learning and implementing new strategies.

Taking breaks when needed is just as important. Burnout can kill motivation, so schedule time to rest and recharge. Stepping away for a moment can provide clarity and renewed energy.

Real-Life Examples of Persistence Leading to Success

Some of the most successful entrepreneurs faced failure before achieving success. Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, heard “no” from countless manufacturers before one took a chance on her idea. Howard Schultz, the founder of Starbucks, was rejected by over 200 investors before securing funding. Walt Disney was fired for lacking creativity and had multiple failed businesses before Disney became a household name.

Create a Signature Offer That Speaks to Your Ideal Customer

Hey there, friend! Letโ€™s chat about something super exciting today: creating your signature offer. Your signature offer is the heart of your businessโ€”the thing that makes your ideal customer go, “Yes! I need this in my life.” Let’s begin to learn how to craft one that truly connects. And I am simplifying down below.

1. Know What Your Audience Needs

To make an offer that works, you need to really get your audience. Ask yourself:

  • What are their biggest struggles?
  • What are their dreams and goals?
  • How can you help them?

You can find this out by:

  • Asking questions: Use surveys or polls to get their feedback.
  • Listening online: Read comments, reviews, or posts in forums and social media.
  • Talking to them: Have conversations to understand their needs.

Donโ€™t assumeโ€”take the time to research. The better you know your audience, the easier it will be to create something tailor-made for them. Trust me on this step.

2. Match Your Offer to Your Brand

Your offer should reflect who you are and what your business stands for. Think about:

  • Your skills: What are you great at?
  • Your mission: What is the big goal of your business?
  • Your values: What do you care about?
  • Your pay: Would someone pay you for this?

For example, if your brand is all about eco-friendly living, your offer should align with that messageโ€”like a reusable product or a guide to sustainable habits. When your offer fits your brand, it feels authentic and builds trust with your audience and in turn they would be willing to pay you for that. Does your offer talk the walk so to speak.

3. Solve Their Problems

The best offers solve problems. Hereโ€™s how:

  • Focus on results: Show them how your offer will make their life better.
  • Be clear: Explain exactly what theyโ€™ll get.
  • Add extra value: Include bonuses or special features.

For example, instead of saying โ€œI offer fitness coaching,โ€ say โ€œI help busy moms lose weight and gain energy in 90 days.โ€ This is specific, results-focused, and appealing.

4. Package and Price It Right

Presentation is everything. To make your offer irresistible:

  • Bundle related items: Add extras that make sense with the main offer (e.g., a course with a workbook).
  • Price fairly: Set a price that reflects the value of your solution.
  • Make it simple: Make it easy for people to buy from you.

Pricing is key. Research similar offers, but donโ€™t undersell yourself. Show the value your customer gets and price confidently.

5. Promote Your Offer

Once your offer is ready, share it with the world! Hereโ€™s how:

  • Use testimonials: Share stories from happy customers to build trust.
  • Create urgency: Offer limited-time discounts or bonuses.
  • Use multiple channels: Promote through email, social media, and videos.

For example, create a short video explaining the benefits, post success stories on your favorite platform and send a detailed email to your list. Be consistent and enthusiastic.

Your signature offer is more than just a product or serviceโ€”itโ€™s a way to show your audience you understand their needs and want to help. By learning about your audience, staying true to your brand, solving problems, and marketing well, you can create an offer theyโ€™ll love.

Are you feeling stuck in your business journey? Maybe youโ€™re overwhelmed by the steps to grow your business, doubting your abilities, or unsure if you have what it takes. Youโ€™re not alone! Many entrepreneurs wrestle with self-doubt, overthinking, and fear. But hereโ€™s the good news: you can shift your mindset to thrive in business. Letโ€™s discuss the key mindset shifts that will empower you to move from self-doubt to self-confidence, align your mindset with success, and trust the process.


Overcoming Imposter Syndrome

Letโ€™s start with a common roadblock: imposter syndrome. He’s such an ugly monster! And I can’t say that enough. Itโ€™s that nagging feeling that you donโ€™t belong or arenโ€™t good enough, even when youโ€™re fully qualified. Many ambitious go-getters face this at some point, especially when stepping into new roles or launching a new idea. Iโ€™ve been there, too.

Last Friday, I went LIVE on social media. Whatโ€™s the word for how I felt? Nervous. I was stuck in the gray of overthinking, questioning everythingโ€””Is this good enough?” “Will people even watch?” It took a quick kick in the booty self-coaching to press that “Go Live” button. I told myself, โ€œNo one else is going to do this for me but me. Itโ€™s Go time.โ€

Once I started, the nerves didnโ€™t magically disappear. I found myself overthinking every second. But as I silenced the inner critic and pushed forward, I felt something amazing: growth. By showing up, I was expanding myself and my business.

Hereโ€™s how you can overcome imposter syndrome, too:

  1. Write it down. Acknowledge the thoughts that hold you back.
  2. Remind yourself of your wins. Look at the progress youโ€™ve made so far.
  3. Take one small action. Action is the antidote to fear.

Remember, fear fades with action. The more you show up, the quieter that inner critic becomes.


The Importance of Confidence in Business Growth

Confidence is the fuel that powers your business growth. Without it, youโ€™ll hesitate to take risks, speak up, or showcase your talents. Confidence doesnโ€™t mean you never feel fearโ€”it means you trust yourself to handle challenges.

When I was prepping for that Live session, I had to remind myself: Iโ€™ve done hard things before. I can do this, too. Confidence isnโ€™t about being fearless. Itโ€™s about moving forward despite the fear.

Here are some practical ways to build confidence in your business:

  • Celebrate small wins. Every step forward matters, no matter how small.
  • Invest in learning. The more you know, the more confident youโ€™ll feel.
  • Surround yourself with support. Connect with people who believe in your abilities.

Confidence grows when you step outside your comfort zone. Each time you take a small risk, youโ€™re building a stronger foundation for your business.


Cultivating a Success Mindset

What does it mean to have a success mindset? Itโ€™s about believing that growth is possible, trusting the process, and focusing on solutions instead of problems. Nurturing this mindset can transform the way you approach your business. This is where my own quick self-coaching shifted into gear and powered on the 4 wheel drive and I’m sharing it with you for your personal success. Hereโ€™s how to start:

  1. Shift your perspective. Instead of seeing challenges as roadblocks, view them as opportunities to learn and grow.
  2. Practice gratitude. Celebrate where you are right now and the progress youโ€™ve made.
  3. Visualize success. Spend time imagining your future self achieving your goals. This builds motivation and clarity.

Remember, success is a journey, not an overnight event. Trust the process, even when it feels slow or uncertain. Youโ€™re planting seeds that will grow in time.


Facing Your Fears with Courage

We all have fears that hold us back. Whatโ€™s one fear holding you back right now? Write it down, acknowledge it, and take one small action toward overcoming it this week. When I was nervous about going Live, I didnโ€™t let the fear win. I showed up, put on my big girl pants, and pressed the button.

You can do this, too. Whether itโ€™s launching a new product, speaking up in a meeting, or sharing your story, fear fades with action. Start small. Each time you face a fear, youโ€™re building courage for the next step.


Simplifying the Journey

Feeling overwhelmed by all the steps to grow your business? Letโ€™s simplify it together. Success isnโ€™t about doing everything at onceโ€”itโ€™s about doing the right things consistently. Here are some tips to make the journey easier:

  • Focus on priorities. Whatโ€™s one thing you can do today that will move your business forward? Start there.
  • Break it down. Big goals can feel overwhelming. Break them into smaller, manageable steps.
  • Stay consistent. Small, consistent actions lead to big results over time.

Take it one step at a time, and trust that progress is happening, even if itโ€™s not visible yet.
