Let’s get real! Creating content isn’t just about throwing words on a page or posting a cute selfie with a long caption.
It’s about connection—real, honest, and heart-centered connection. Your audience isn’t just looking for information; they’re looking for someone they can relate to, learn from, and trust. They simply want to be understood! That someone is YOU. So, let’s talk about how you can create content that truly speaks to your people, builds relationships, and keeps them coming back for more!
1. Craft Stories That Resonate and Inspire
Most people like myself, don’t remember facts unless that’s your total jam and jelly, but I DO remember stories. Ever watched a movie and weeks later, you’re still thinking about that one scene? That’s the power of storytelling, and you can use it in your content too!
Think about your journey—your wins, your struggles, your small to big aha moments. Share them! Your audience needs to see the real you, not a polished version that feels out of reach. Gone are the days of being super scripted, suited up, and clicking the floor with your high heels! No Ma’am. Not this panty hose hater! LOL Maybe you started your business with nothing but a laptop and a dream (been there!). Maybe you had to push past fear to finally launch your offer. Maybe your fear was all about your judge mental family and unsupportive people in your life. And that environment held you back. These are the stories that make people feel seen and understood.
Next time you post, start with: “I remember when I…” and tell a little piece of your journey. Add what you learned and how it helped you grow. Boom—instant and brilliant connection to building your empire! We are letting the dice roll!
2. Be Consistent Without Burning Out
Let’s be real—burnout is NOT cute. One minute you’re full of ideas, and the next, you’re staring at a blank screen wondering what to post. Sound familiar?
Enter, Estela, your Online Business Coach-Create a simple content plan that works for you, not against you. You don’t have to post every single day to be effective (amen to that!). Pick a few key days in the week and stick to them. Also, batch your content when you’re feeling inspired. That way, when life gets busy (because it will), you’re not scrambling to create something last-minute.
Choose 3-4 core content themes (like mindset, business tips, behind-the-scenes, and encouragement). Rotate them so you always know what to post without overthinking.
3. Engage Through Valuable, Shareable Content
Ever see a post that makes you say, “OMG, I needed this today!”? That’s what we’re aiming for! Your content should make your audience feel like you’re speaking directly to them.
Ask yourself:
- Is this helping or inspiring my audience?
- Would I share this if I saw it?
- Does this invite conversation or connection?
Also, don’t just post and ghost—engagement goes both ways! Reply to comments, ask questions, and make your audience feel valued. The more you interact, the stronger the relationships become.
End your posts with a question or a call to action. For example, “Have you ever struggled with this? Tell me below—I want to hear your story!” This invites your audience to join the conversation.
Content that connects isn’t about perfection—it’s about authenticity. Show up as yourself, share your journey, and give value that makes people feel seen, heard, and motivated. Your audience doesn’t just need information; they need YOU. So go out there, create with heart, and watch your connections grow!
